Bosch’s New Plant Operates in Wuhu

    On May 23, Bosch set up its new plant in Wuhu Jiujiang District Industrial Park, adding a new force in Wuhu’s auto parts industry. The company will serve as a main production center of Bosch Car Multimedia Division in China.


    Bosch Auto Parts (Wuhu) Co., Ltd. is the second company of Bosch Group in Wuhu. The new plant covers a gross floor area of 18,200 square meters with a total investment exceeding 275 million yuan. The plant focuses on infotainment, digital instrument cluster and connectivity control units for the Chinese market. It is expected that by the end of this year, the number of employees in the new plant will reach 900 including 160 R&D engineers.


    Mr. Theo Drijfhout, Asia Pacific president of the Car Multimedia division, said, in the IoT era, connectivity is rapidly crossing over into the automotive industry. With this plant opening, Bosch Car Multimedia will actively expand the scale of production capacity to meet the rising needs of local customers for connected driving. In the future, Bosch will further develop new digital displays, voice assistance, haptic feedback and other HMI technologies to build a safe, Convenient and stress-free third living space for local customers.
