Wuhu Shipyard Signs a Big Order

    Recently, Wuhu Shipyard Co., Ltd, a company subordinate to Chery Holding Group, and Glory Maritime International Co., Ltd (GMI), held a signing ceremony in Wuhudeciding that Wuhu Shipyard produced several 63,500-ton bulk carriers for GMI.


    The 63,500-ton ship to be built will be a super flexible bulk carrier that meets the latest international conventions, rules and regulations and the supreme type is featured with safer, more efficient, lower cost and greener qualities.


    A more reasonable domestic sewage treatment system will be employed in design to meet the demand of zero discharge of sewage in some specially controlled areas, and the ballast water treatment system can meet the international convention standard in large displacement when loading and unloading, which will greatly improve the efficiency of the ship.


    It is expected that the overall design and manufacturing of the ship is rated as a benchmark in the same class of bulk carriers.   


    Glory Maritime, the owner of the ship, is an experienced shipping company for nearly 30 years.


    It is learned that the ship sector is one of the six business segments of Chery Holding Group. It owns two core enterprises, namely Wuhu Shipyard Co., Ltd and Wuhu Fujiheng Machinery Co., Ltd.


    The ship sector received orders valued at 1.53 billion yuan in the first half of 2018.
