Anhui Posts 3rd Highest Rise in China in Trademark Registration (Q1-Q3)

    92,000 new trademarks were registered in East China’s Anhui province during the first three quarters of 2018 (Q1-Q3), representing a year-on-year surge of 105.10 percent, the third highest growth rate in the country, statistics from the Anhui Administration for Industry and Commerce showed.


    As of September 30, the province had 389,000 valid trademarks, up 37.80 percent year-on-year, the second highest increase in the country.


    The number of trademark applications in Hefei, capital of the province, reached 42,296, or 28.7 percent of the provincial total. Wuhu saw the second largest number of applications, which stood at 17,571, followed by Fuyang (11,917) and Anqing (11,731).


    In terms of growth rate of applications, Tongling, Wuhu, Huaibei, Lu’an and Suzhou entered the top five, posting a year-on-year increase of 68.50 percent, 64.03 percent, 57.99 percent, 56.95 percent and 55.56 percent, respectively.
